SUMMER SCHOOL 2022

Study with MSSES experts, network with students from all over the world, and have a productive summer!

The Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences (MSSES) offers an annual 3-weeks course in Russian Language and Society. This year, the summer school will be held from 11 to 29 July 2022 on campus. Due to COVID-19 and possible restrictions, the Summer School may switch to virtual format, but only in accordance with the mandatory Government Recommendations.

SCHEDULE & TUITION

Application deadline: 20 May 2022
Duration: 11-29 July 2022 (3 weeks)
Language requirements: any level (zero - C1)
Program per week: 15 hours of Russian Language + 5 hours on contemporary Russian Society and Culture
Credits: 3 ECTS
Tuition fee: 430 euros*

*students from partner universities are offered a 20% tuition fee waiver scholarship. Check the list of partner universities (MSSES + RANEPA).

TLANGUAGE COURSE

Course content: The course focuses on expanding your vocabulary and improving your conversational skills, pronunciation, knowledge of grammar, listening skills, and writing skills.
Professors will aid students in developing communication skills by organising regular class discussions, one-on-one conversations, role-playing, and group presentations. This course aims to help students gain fluency in Russian while increasing their knowledge of Russia.

Requirements: There are no prerequisites for this Summer School in regard to the Russian language proficiency level. Students will join a group in accordance with their Russian level (from beginner to advanced), determined with a placement test before the start of the course.

Academic credit: Certificate of Attendance with 3 ECTS credits / Certificate for the number of hours attended and confirmed 3 ECTS credits..

APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process is carried out online and it only takes a few moments to complete.

2. Upload the document required for a Partner discount (proof of enrolment in one of the MSSES or RANEPA Partner Universities for securing a 20% tuition fee waiver scholarship)
3. Choose the method of payment transfer
4. Press the “submit” button

We will contact you shortly and provide more details about the payment process and enrolment on the course.

PAYMENT

Your place on the course will only be guaranteed once we receive the payment of the course fees.

Please keep in mind that course places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until the maximum class capacity is reached. We strongly encourage you to confirm your participation as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Applicants will be notified when a course is closing due to maximum attendance and will be given instructions on how to proceed in order to secure their place.

Included:
Tuition, visa support, study materials, welcome package, cultural programme, certificate.

Not included:
Visa fee, transport to and from Moscow, accommodation for 3 weeks (recommended housing 5-10 walking min from the campus), meals.

CANCELLATION

If you wish to cancel your participation, it is possible to do so up to 7 days before the course starts. 100% of the tuition fee will be returned but you may be charged an additional fee to cover bank transfer commission. Thus, you will receive the full fee minus the bank commission on your bank account.
