The course, developed for the third-year students of the undergraduate programme ‘Creative Projects Management’, is dedicated to the methods and types of producing, stages of media project development, working with the audience, monetisation, and content promotion.
The Media Laboratory has launched the course for students who wish to understand the media industry trends and specificities of its development as well as how the media project development is organised.
The course is taught by Anastasia Kosenchuk, Executive Director at the Media Laboratory.
At the course, the students will be introduced to the basic functions of producing media projects and stages of their development and implementation. They will also familiarise themselves with current formats and specificities of working with various kinds of content as well as learn to promote it in the media market. The course will allow the students to master key producing competencies in practice. The course will be concluded with the presentation of the students’ own media projects they will have developed in teams.
The “Producing Media Projects” course is, if you will, an inevitability in the curriculum of the undergraduate programme called ‘Creative Projects Management’. And that is because today, a significant portion of creative projects are, specifically, media projects (or projects involving a media outlet). It makes sense for us to invite our partners from the Media Laboratory to this course. They are a brilliant team that will convey the best practices to the students and carefully guide them through all of the stages of creating a project in that field.
The media industry is very dynamic, and it’s important to not only understand how it evolves but also remain a good specialist who is in demand on the market. On one hand, it’s important for the students of the course to understand how the media project development is organised on each stage, but on the other, it’s important for them to not fear the industry difficulties and challenges. Instead, they should experience interest and motivation for launching their own media projects.
The Media Laboratory is an ecosystem that supports and discovers new talent among young bloggers and media specialists, helps develop the media industry and creative industries. Here, you can study or create a content project in any format, find a team for your own project, or meet a potential employer.
