Faculty of Social and Cultural Project Management

Faculty of Social and Cultural Project Management

The Faculty of Social and Cultural Project Management prepares visionaries and strategists of social and cultural design, initiators, creators, and members of creative teams and startups, employees and leaders of public cultural institutions.

Faculty History

The Faculty of Cultural Management was opened in 1998. The new faculty was initiated by Sergey Zuev. At that time, similar to other UK universities, the University of Manchester did not have a Cultural Management Faculty. Thus Teodor had to search for a UK university to validate this program. The University of Aberdeen was the one. When the Cultural Management discipline was launched in Manchester, the training program was further validated by the University of Manchester.
The Shaninka residents have created a new profession, namely, a culture manager.

Previously Russian intellectuals were engaged in general culture-related issues, while managers supervised everything at all. No one would ever think that culture can and should be managed, and to do so you need professional skills.

Now this profession is in great demand. And almost anyone who has achieved something meaningful in this profession is a Shaninka graduate.
