Faculty of Practical Psychology

The Faculty of Practical Psychology is the same age as the Shaninka School, that is, in 2020 we will celebrate the 25th anniversary. In 1995, a group of Russian lecturers was sent for a six-month internship to the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to study the didactic methods applied in UK universities. The group included B.Yu.Shapiro, A.V.Soloviev, P.V. Kamenchenko, N.S. Grigorieva, T.V. Chubarova, E.B. Morgunov, A.A. Khokhlov. Professor Shulamit Ramon was the group coordinator in the UK. In autumn 1995, the first students were enrolled for the two-year Master Degree program “Social Work”. The original name of the faculty was the Faculty of Social Management and Social Work. In the middle of the 2000s, educational programs were substantially revised which resulted in the Faculty reorganization and it was renamed the Faculty of Practical Psychology.

Dean

Evgeny Morgunov is the Dean of the Faculty, doctor of psychology, associate professor. Member of Dissertation Council D 504.001.38 for the defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations at the RANEPA Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Since 2014 he has been the chairman of the State Examination Commission at the Faculty of Educational Psychology, Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University
