Invitation for students to participate in the international event UNIV Hack in Rome remotely

We invite students to participate in the international event UNIV Hack in Rome remotely. 

UNIV Hack is UNIV’s cultural activity that involves organising an online marathon where teams of people from different continents work together for a short period of time to find powerful ideas as well as innovative and creative solutions to issues proposed by UNIV’s annual theme.

The resulting project will constitute the solution to a specific problem – solution developed collaboratively by the team members.

UNIV 2022 theme: “Rebuilding together: the strength of human relations”.
  • On 1 March, UNIV Hack Team will form international teams of 6 to 8 people, depending on the selected subtheme and working language.
  • On 7 March, lists of teams and their members will be published and the participants will start working with the Team Leader (Hack 2021 participant who has completed the training). Information and study materials on various issues will be available on the website. The groups will be formed on Slack.
  • From 7 March to 7 April, each group will be meeting online (once a week, once every two weeks, once a month).
  • The first session will be held on 12 March from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm (Rome time). All the participants will receive the information and study the Design Thinking tools. Also, time will be allocated for the participants to work in the formed groups.
  • The second session will be held on 13 April from 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm (Rome time). That closing in-person plenary meeting of UNIV Hack 2022 will be held in the UC Santa Cruz. The participants will present their work and share their experience. In case the participants are unable to visit Rome in person, they will have the option to join online.

Registration fee: 25 €

All the participants will have the opportunity to attend two additional Zoom meetings with international speakers, which will allow them to expand their knowledge and views on the main theme as well as each specific task provided by UNIV Hack 2022.
