Thank you for your support and solidarity.

Thank you for your support.jpgDear friends and colleagues!
Over the past week, we have received so many words of support that we finally became convinced: we are doing the right thing. Actually, we believed in this before, but it's nice to receive wide public confirmation of this conviction. Our situation has shown that civil society in Russia exists and demonstrates unity in important issues related to science and education.

We thank the academic community for solidarity and letters of support. We thank journalists and the media for the impartial and professional coverage of the topic. We are very grateful to our graduates, who in social networks talk about their studies at school. And this assessment is no less important for us than the official conclusions of the supervisory bodies.

The current situation has shown a very important contradiction in the evaluation of the activities of educational institutions: the expert assessment of the professional community is at variance with formal criteria. This revealed the need for a serious expert and professional discussion on assessing the quality of education.

This discussion has already begun in the media. On Friday, June 29, we meet with graduates, listeners, employees and friends of the MSSES to discuss the current situation in our circle. We hope to continue the discussion in September within the framework of roundtables with the academic community. And, of course, it will become one of the central themes of our traditional conference "Education Development Trends", which annually attracts more than 800 professionals from the educational sphere from all over the world.

We once again thank you for the support of all those who did not remain indifferent, and we believe that the situation will be the starting point for improving the quality assessment system in our Russian education. We invite you to this important conversation.

Sergey Zuev,
Rector of the MSSES
