The main aim of the programme in cultural management and cultural policy is the training of specialists for regional and town level management of culture, directors of cultural organisations, and also independent leaders of projects and initiatives in the field of culture.
Our graduates are familiar with the theory and practice of cultural policy development and cultural management. On successful completion of the programme, students are awarded the Master of Arts in Cultural Management of the University of Manchester (UK) and the Russian postgraduate state diploma or Russian State Diploma in Professional Retraining in the Specialisation “Management”. We train qualified, efficient and creative managers in cultural sphere, who are able to work efficiently in public offices, non-governmental sector and commercial organizations.
Our graduates work successfully in corporate governance sector, creative industries, in the field of political technologies and public relations, publishing industry, mass media, charity foundations and NGOs, centres for strategic planning, R&D departments in corporations and governmental institutions.
A particular feature which distinguishes the programme is the effort to create an active international educational arena, which makes use of the most modern methods of training, including distance learning, units taught by foreign lecturers, professional practice and independent project and analytical work, necessary for all managers in today’s conditions in Russia.
